Agricultural Science for the Caribbean is a well established and highly successful three year course for lower Secondary schools. The emphasis is on observation and practical activity, encouraging students to develop a hands-on attitude to agriculture. Students are encouraged to find out more about agriculture local to their homes so that they can relate and apply their learning to individual experiences and environments.Fertile soil is neither too acid nor too alkaline, as such conditions are not favourable to most plants or to useful soil micro-organisms. It is also free from pests, diseases, and harmful substances. Several factors operate to make a soil fertile.
