How Felix slruggled to get clear of these impreslions, and to shake ofia#39; the terror of his convitflions: he did by them as he did -by Paula#39;s persecuters, ver. .... The Chrifiians here at Cesarea, where he now was, had paned with their tears to prevent his going to the prison (chap. xxi, 13.) ... The emperor for the wrongs he had done them; and therefore hopes, by gratifying them in this matter, to slop their mouths.
