This volume of the Animas-La Plata series (SWCA Anthropological Research Paper No. 10) describes the results of excavations at the largest and most complex site in the Animas-La Plata project area, the Sacred Ridge site (5lp245). Located in Ridges Basin approximately 8 km (4.8 miles) southwest of Durango, Colorado, Sacred Ridge was a multiple habitation site containing 22 pit structures and dating to the early Pueblo I period (A.D. 750-850).
