Complexity has met political science with little sound and fury. Ideas from computational political economy are applied to three studies of politics. The first study is a two-part investigation of candidate entry presented with the adaptive parties model. The second study is an analysis of strategic behavior and the Electoral College. The third study is a formal model of majority party strength in Congress.
