Advanced Placement topics are designed to expose students to college-level studies. Pretest scored indicated that all classes started at the same level. However, significantly higher achievement gains were shown for each of the two posttests by students using the PLSs over TT by 18 and 7 points, respectively. Students' attitudes were significantly more positive toward learning through the PLSs than by TT, although several students complained of being tired.
