After researching past field service reports (FSR), it was discovered there was a potential for a canopy shock hazard identified as far back as 1988. ... Flights through weather, e.g., cirrus clouds, make the problem worse. ... research and development and then field the aircraft or system modifications, distribute tech data and flight manual changes, etc. ... the problem is discovered (1988) until permanent solutions are fielded (ita#39;s 1995 and no aquot;new and improved 550-knot canopiesaquot; yet!).
