Rather than manually entering radius values for every single particle, you control Per Particle attributes by connecting textures or expressions to them ... If you make changes to your animation, the scene will not reflect the changes until you delete the cache from memory by selecting the particle ... This lets you playback the scene as you like, without running the simulation from the start and by every frame.
