The mic may have a 1/4aquot; phone plug, which wona#39;t fit into your computera#39;s 1/8aquot; minijack. Your soundcard may not even have a mic input, only a line-level stereo minijack (probably labelled aquot;auxaquot; or aquot;lineaquot;). ... This is not a typical level for computer audio connections; we mention it only because some +4 connectors are of the XLR type, similar to a mica#39;s XLR a but the level of the signal is much hotter.
