ISM structures and processes are repeated almost ad infinitum in our own galaxy (Dickey aamp; Lockman 1990) ... with the location of the nearby dense molecular clouds, such as Taurus and Ophiuchus (Lallement et al. 2003). Figure 1 is a schematic illustration of the volume populated by the LISM, adapted from a similar figure by Mewaldt aamp; Liewer (2001). ... all known planetary systems (see Ford, in this volume) and the prototypical debris disk stars (see Chen, in this volume).
