The purpose of this study was to explore how Department of Defense (DOD) program manager perceptions of organizational learning and the influence of transformational leadership style on those perceptions affect weapon acquisition.Transactional leadership worked well for leaders because this style focuses on the Weber (1910/1978) idea of worker as machine. Transactional leadership focuses on speed and efficiency within specific acceptable quality standards.
