PLANTING THE TREE There should always be a balance between the foliar and root systems (Picture 4). When transplanting, especially if bare-rooted, the root system always suffers from broken or damaged roots which should be clipped ... In such cases it is recommended to remove the outer layer of the ball by washing it so that some of the roots can be exposed and extended into the soil of the hole.
