The descriptive correlational study was conducted to examine whether measures of cultural proficiency, linguistic competence, and literacy perspectives were associated with 20th century or 21st century organizational leadership discourse or leadership pattern. Subjects were 127 public school principals in a small south central Texas region. Participants included 61 administrators in rural and urban schools.The leadership pattern suggested the principals were practicing collaborative leadership.
