Recent results in the field of Quantum Electrodynamics (QED), and several aspects of the structure of the vaccuum, with their implementations for the standard model of particle physics and for the determination of fundamental constants, are discussed. Precision measurements using QED, such as the study of specific bound systems and the g-2 of leptons are also discussed.
