Scale Modeling Quarterly, first and foremost a publication for, and by, scale model builders. The goal of SMQ is to encourage, inspire, teach, and share with modelers through feature articles on unique and interesting subjects spanning the full spectrum of the scale modeling hobby. SMQ's cornerstone in reaching these goals is a dedication to step-by-step, photo-intensive builds authored by competitive model builders. These experienced modelers will demonstrate techniques in detail, giving the reader new methods to add to their own model building skillset. These builds will be presented in our regular Featured Build and Short Build sections. Additionally, the Modeling Tech and New Product Reviews sections will offer detailed tips, tricks, and advice on the myriad of hobby products available. Modelers will be connected to the scale modeling community at large through our ongoing Trip Reports section that will deliver dispatches from shows, events, and places of interest. Unique to SMQ will be a regular Kids' Corner section that documents the challenges and triumphs of the newest generation of modelers in their own words.Diorama. Base.
