In the present project, we replicated the procedure from McGuigan and Salmon's study in typically developing children. We wanted to investigate how the effects of timing of adult talk would impact recall ability in children. We predicted that, as McGuigan and Salmon found, the conditions of qpre-q and qduringq talk would be less effective than qpostq for memory recall. In addition, we wondered whether the timing of the talk would affect the quality, or type, of the information recalled.
