His analysis lays bare the pernicious effects of black income on the macroeconomy and the resultant inefficiency, waste in the economy and society.These schemes give amnesty to those who have generated black incomes in the past. The last of these was the highly publicized Voluntary Disclosure of Income Scheme (VDIS) of 1997. Rs 10, 000 crore of taxes were collected through it.
