Disaster risk is increasing, not only in number of events, but also in incurred losses. Thus we need new initiatives to foster upgrading of existing building and enhancement of land planning strategies. aSafe Homea scheme is aimed at increasing urban safety requirements against hazards under an advanced labeling approach. It provides a quantitative evaluation of building performance through an objective, reproducible approach, assessing risks at a land, urban and building scale.
